Levitt Shell Board: The Steinbergs

Since Ken joined the Levitt Shell Board in 2010, Jill and Ken Steinberg have supported the Shell and its amazing concerts and other programs that are free to the community.

“Our love and appreciation for the Shell have grown along with its audience and its corporate and community sponsors. Our sons and their friends have also become quite involved and understand its significance.”

It is incredibly motivating to be part of preserving this asset for our children and our city. We hope they continue to dance and celebrate at the Shell as much as we do!”

Although they give annually, Jill and Ken wanted to join the Preservation 50 and donate $11,935 to sustain collectively the work of the Levitt Shell for future generations. Their investment, together with others in the same amount, will provide $600,000 to make sure performance art and music continue in Overton Park for many years.

The philanthropic family foundations who are matching the Preservation 50’s collective gift are also committed to establishing roots for the Shell’s future.

“Our gift helps ensure that the stage is never quiet again and the community inclusiveness of the Levitt Shell continues for many more years. It is incredible motivating to be part of preserving this asset for our children and the entire city. We hope they continue to dance and celebrate at the Shell as much as we do!”
